A Thought About Gardening

There is now a big black hole where my lawn used to be!
Anyone who knows me knows how much I hate being outside.....and anyone who knows me knows that the only thing I hate more than being outside is having to be outside doing the gardening! Being new on the single's scene, gardening and taking care of the outside property around my house is a fairly new chore for me. Doesn't it figure that this year we aren't allowed to use weed killer either. My lawn and particularly my back yard is one great big weed!

Bought this new handy weed puller today and set straight to work pulling out as many as I could and it worked really well. It wasn't until I was almost finished (hours later) that I realized there was no lawn left, just a big black pit where my lawn used to be. Three of those big paper recycling bags full of just weeds....and that's just my back yard. Thank goodness the front isn't that bad yet but I do have some clover; something we've never really had before. My next door neighbour's theory is that some lawn company came and sprinkled clover all over the street so we'd all need their services when they called.....I'm starting to believe she might be on to something here. Anyway, I think I need a gardener, my back can't take all the bending. My flower garden out the front is full of clover and as fast as I rip it out, it grows back in. Wouldn't be so bad if the weeds would stay away once I pulled them but in three days they'll all be back again! What's the point! So....I'm thinking that if I just never go outside again, I'll never have to look at it anymore anyway. Works for me! That's about all I have to say about that....for now.
