Being a true friend

Being a friend doesn’t mean having all the answers. Sometimes all it takes is a listening ear or an encouraging word to let people know we care. Genuinely caring for another; taking the time to really hear someone can go a long way in helping them through a tough situation or difficult circumstance. When we take the time to be available for others we reflect God’s presence in our lives. He may not always provide an instant solution to our troubles and there may not be a miraculous cure, but he will always be with us and he promises to never leave us. We can always depend on him. Be the hands of God and allow him to use you as an instrument of his love and care.

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13
