Your hopes were dashed, your dreams were shattered. You were counting on a certain future. The promotion you were counting on fell through. The relationship that you put so much into has been broken. The pit of despair surrounds you and you think “Life just isn’t fair”.
It’s true, sometimes life isn’t fair. But who ever promised you it would be? The simple fact is that sometimes God says ‘No’. Sometimes God shuts doors that we have longed to open and we can’t understand why. That is because he knows that for whatever reason, what is behind that door will not be good for us. But God always has our best at heart and he doesn’t want you to give up in defeat, but rather to keep looking. He invites you to try other doors that are waiting for you to knock on. He has a plan for you and the right doors will open when he knows you are ready for it. Your life and future are in his loving and capable hands.
